In this episode we get to know who is behind Fancy Farms of Plant City, Florida. Carl Grooms, the owner, started Fancy Farms with his wife Dee Dee in 1974 with 15 acres of strawberries.
Carl’s family has been in the farming industry since the early 1900s. Both of their children have become an intricate part of the family business. Their son, Dustin Grooms, began growing blackberries in addition to their generational strawberry operation in 2016 and their daughter Kristi Grooms runs the produce market and bakery. Today they own and operate the family business on nearly 125 acres.
